What you can expect from our office

Our physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists have been specially trained in the diagnosis and care of patients with lung diseases and breathing problems.  We strive to provide complete and prompt attention to your medical needs.  If testing needs to be ordered, it will be arranged according to your schedule or the urgency of your illness. It may be scheduled at one of our office locations or at another facility.  When you call to schedule an appointment, the receptionist may ask you questions about your medical problem.

When you call to schedule your first office appointment, you will be asked general information, such as your address, phone number, insurance information,  to determine which (if any) previous x-rays, test results or medical records need to be obtained.  We will ask you to bring these tests, including actual x-ray films/CD’s, with you to the office on the day of your visit.  We will also ask you to download the history and general information forms to be completed and brought to your first appointment. If you do not have access to a computer/printer we will mail a packet to you containing these forms or have you come in 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill these forms out.

If your insurance requires a referral from your Primary Care Physician (PCP), the forms must be in our office before each visit.  It is your responsibility to contact your PCP if necessary to have them fax it to us.

A phone nurse is available if you are a current established patient with our office and are calling with a medical problem.  If yours is a non-urgent call, please opt leave the nurse a message and we will return your call.  Your care and treatment are important services that we are happy to provide.  Calls are returned based on medical urgency.  If you choose to hold for a nurse, remember, we receive a high volume of calls and you may be asked to wait on hold as many calls come in and they are answered as received. The nurse may have to discuss your medical concern with the doctor and we will call you back.  If you have a medical emergency please call 911.
